Hoosiers Helping Homeless Pets (HHHP) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to reducing the number of homeless pets in Indiana. This is a community problem, one that requires us all to band together to work towards a solution.
We stress collaboration between shelters, rescues and humane organizations to work towards increasing adoptions in order to decrease euthanasia through events such as Petfest.
We stress the need for spay/neuter of all companion animals. We will continue to work towards all available animals from shelters/rescues to be spay/neutered before adoption as well as the need for affordable spay/neuter services for the public.
We stress the need for humane education and assistance for the public through community projects.
Pet overpopulation is not a new problem and has been in existence for many years. It is not a problem that we can fix overnight. We cannot buy, spay/neuter, adopt or educate our way out of this problem, but if we all work together, we can make a difference and end unnecessary euthanasia in the state of Indiana. |
