Pet Fest has an important mission:

• Educate our community on responsible pet ownership and the seriousness of pet overpopulation, spay/neuter, euthanasia, behavior, and health issues and what we can do to help.

• Unite our community with dozens of shelters and rescues who dedicate their time and money to help these homeless animals. Help our homeless friends in need and STOP the suffering and animal overpopulation.

• Raise awareness that only 20% of pets in homes today come from shelters and to work towards raising that percentage. Also, educate the public on the wonderful pets that are available for adoption from shelters.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to report that Petfest 2008 Spring Adoption Day is cancelled/postponed due to lack of funding. To the groups listed to the right as well as the many volunteers we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please be sure to check with the groups that have supported us over the years for your next pet and watch here for the possibility of rescheduling of this event.
